Case Appreciation

JOHN HOUSE
Succinct and introspective in temperament, the structure boasts carefully refined massing that delivers intense visual impact. Solid external façades isolate interior spaces from external bustle, while interconnected courtyards and balconies compose a fluid, coherent spatial layout.
Material application accentuates the core design philosophy. Dark rustic brickwork forms a striking contrast against vibrant lush vegetation. Wall-mounted water features and steel cables for climbing vines introduce natural elements that permeate the structure up to the rooftop.
Confined by the narrow site, a vertical organizational strategy is implemented to rationalize functional spaces. The ground floor integrates living, dining and kitchen areas that open seamlessly to the backyard garden, whereas wine cellars and fitness spaces are arranged within secluded private zones.

BEN VILLA
A summer residence has recently been completed. The project highlights the dialogue between architecture and nature, blending contemporary design with the local landscape.
Conceived at the early stage, the interior and exterior design was further refined through in-depth collaboration. Meticulously sited on the terrain, the building maximizes unobstructed 180-degree views of the sea and surrounding scenery as a core design priority.
The interior comprises a ground floor, lower ground floor and mezzanine. The ground floor is split into two main zones: the west wing houses the master bedroom, while the east wing accommodates the kitchen, living and dining areas. The lower ground floor features four en-suite bedrooms and a compact kitchenette. At the rear of this level lies a cave-like space with exposed bedrock, creating a tranquil retreat.

PAUL HOUSE
This residence boasts a walled courtyard, swimming pool and landscaped gardens.
The living area is a glass box housed inside a concrete garden pavilion. Fully glazed walls with slim window frames blur the line between indoors and outdoors. Enclosed gardens also flood the pavilion with natural light.
The interplay of rugged and soft materials creates an air of understated luxury. The elongated pool delivers a distinctive experience of swimming amidst the garden as well as beneath and within the building.

SAM VILLA
Set against mountain views and lush greenery, the residence features facades of brick, weathered steel and wood. It encloses a central courtyard with a pool and spa. A long brick wall divides public and private areas. Outdoor materials extend indoors. The bright double-height main space connects to the courtyard. The private suite has a small courtyard and a rooftop terrace with fine views.
